💫 A Step Forward in Penang's Resilience Journey! When cities embrace collaboration, they unlock the innovation and shared responsibility needed to address climate challenges. This week, Penang showcased this at the Visioning and Implementation Resilience Strategy Workshop. 🔹"Let us refine our collective goals, strengthen collaboration, and make Penang a model for the world to follow," said Amarjit Sandhu, Corporate Vice President of Assembly and Test Nand Operation at Micron, emphasizing the power of partnership to drive meaningful change. The workshop brought together 56 participants from the state and cities governments, civil society, and local organizations to refine Penang’s four resilience pillars—urban water, urban heat, urban future, and enabling environment. Participants explored 12 portfolios and 45 projects to address challenges like rising temperatures, frequent flooding, and water scarcity, which threaten the city's resilience. 🔹"The challenges we face today require us to act now—not just to adapt, but to preserve the uniqueness of what we have for generations to come," said Hamdan Majeed, Managing Director of Think City, highlighting the urgency of climate action. The workshop showcased the power of collaboration through the partnership between the City Councils of Penang Island and Seberang Perai, the Penang State Government, Micron Foundation, and R-Cities, and the support of Think City. This effort highlights how inclusive participation and shared responsibility can help cities build resilience and adapt to climate challenges. 🌏 Majlis Bandaraya Seberang Perai | Penang State Government | Micron Foundation | Micron Technology | Think City

On November 30, 2024, we marked the beginning of a meaningful partnership with the Micron Foundation, and what a heartwarming kickoff it was! At Prakasam Vidya Niketan High School in Hyderabad, Micron employees joined hands with Make A Difference (MAD) volunteers to celebrate this collaboration and engage with 70 bright, enthusiastic children. The event started on a lively note with a fun ice-breaker activity, "Flashback to Childhood," where nostalgic stories brought smiles and laughter all around. From there, Micron employees stepped into the classrooms, partnering with MAD volunteers to teach English and Math to students from 6th to 10th grade. The energy was infectious—children danced, laughed, and soaked up the joy of learning. As we wrapped up, we celebrated this partnership with cake, refreshments, and a touching gesture of gratitude—a heartfelt memoir crafted by the children, featuring hearts made with their fingerprints. Highlight of the day? Two Micron employees were so inspired that they signed up as MAD volunteers, committing to a year of mentoring and making a difference! Through this partnership, Micron Foundation is supporting our Progression Mentoring Program, empowering 564 children and young people in Telangana and Karnataka to break the cycle of poverty with mentorship, life skills, and career guidance. Thank you Micron Foundation, for believing in our mission and being a catalyst for sustainable change. Together, we are building brighter futures, one child at a time. This prestigious recognition highlights Micron's unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability, and the Foundation is pleased to be a part of it as we work together to promote STEM education in rural areas, empower women in technology, and collaborate with public and private sectors to address critical environmental issues. As the largest foreign enterprise in Taiwan, this achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. Let's continue to drive positive change and make a lasting impact on our community and the environment. Last month I shared that we set ambitious community impact goals, including our mission to reach one million hours of volunteerism since 2020 by the end of this year. Today I am thrilled to share that we have officially reached our goal and ahead of our Dec. 31 schedule! 🎉 Reaching this milestone would not have been possible without our team members, who have rolled up their sleeves, given their time and talent, and made a difference in countless ways. As the president of the Micron Foundation, I am incredibly proud of how our teams have supported our global communities through local initiatives, global charity efforts, and environmental sustainability projects. Our team members truly embody Micron’s core value of People and our vision to enrich life for all.  As we reflect on this achievement, it’s clear that our commitment to giving back is just getting started. Together, we’ll continue to challenge ourselves to do even more – supporting causes that empower our people, lift up communities, and build a better future. Congratulations to all our Micron team members who have donated their time, resources, and expertise to making our world a better place for all! #volunteerism #givingback #microngives

I want to extend a huge thanks to members of our Singapore team who I met with last week. During the visit, I joined over 60 kids ages 13-15 for our signature Chip Camp at the Science Centre Singapore. Supported by members of our Mosaic Employee Resource Group, we facilitated hands-on activities designed to engage kids in the field of semiconductor science and with new innovations incorporating Gen AI. Thanks to the Science Center teachers and Micron Technology volunteers who facilitated a fascinating day. We always enjoy welcoming students worldwide to engage in #STEM subjects, learn about technical careers, and connect with companies like ours. In addition, I was pleased to join a roundtable with 17 Singapore nonprofit organizations to discuss partnership opportunities with the Micron Foundation. During the conversation, we shared strategies to address gaps in digital and technological skills that exist among underrepresented populations in Singapore, particularly for women, that hinder their ability to access and thrive within the STEM ecosystem. Through business, community, and government partnerships, we can elevate opportunities for all people to access pathways that welcome them to careers of the future.

20+ Years of Passion in Memory/Storage (Semiconductor)

Micron’s ‘Star Light Volunteer Month’ began in Singapore in 2021, in collaboration with Taiwan team. By 2024, the fourth edition of Star Light has became a global event involving Japan, Malaysia, China, the United States, India and Europe. This year, Star Light 4.0 would unite all team members worldwide to enhance our social impact on the communities where we operate, thus enriching lives for all. With the active participation from many senior leaders including Manish Bhatia, Kok Sing Chen and Teddy Pramono, I am confident that we would achieve Micron’s mission of ‘One Million Volunteer Hours’ by end of 2024.
