The Mid-Hudson Library System (MHLS), headquartered in Poughkeepsie, NY, is a membership organization of sixty-six (66) independent public and free association libraries in Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Putnam, and Ulster counties. MHLS insures the public's right to free access, facilitates economical resource sharing, and promotes professional library services while working in partnership with libraries and other service organizations.

The Library Worker Support Network https://lnkd.in/gb3DAy_k, a project of Urban Librarians Unite, has announced the Emergency Library Worker Support for those impacted by California wildfires. Two special peer support sessions have been set up for library workers who either live or work in the California communities impacted by the wildfires. Complete the intake form to attend: January 14 at 5:30 pm PT or January 18 at 1:00 pm PT.

We could not be more proud of our board of trustees for winning the 2024 Velma K. Moore Award from the Library Trustees Association Section of the New York Library Association! The Mid-Hudson Library System Board of Trustees was recognized for their leadership in becoming the first public library system in the country to complete the Sustainable Library Certification Program, inspiring hundreds of trustees here in NY (and across the country!) to follow their lead.
