With Thanksgiving this week we wanted to share some of the things we are thankful for! We are thankful for our great employees like Teresa! She hadn't worked in the construction industry before starting with Midsouth. She enjoyed learning different skills sets, and so was up to the challenge of trying something new. She's still continuing to learn about the industry, but has taken on a key position of being a trainer for new scale clerks and office personnel, along with traveling to different locations as needed to support the business. "I became what I am now because someone believed that I could do the job I am in now." Congratulations to Jake on celebrating his 10 year anniversary with MidSouth Aggregates! "Jake started his career at Midsouth as a yard loader operator. Several years ago, he was promoted to a QC technician. Jake is currently certified as a GDOT, TDOT, & ACI level 1 aggregate technician. He also backs up the scales when needed. As we move into the weekend, we wanted to put a bright spot across your page! Our Ringgold Quarry Crew took it upon themselves to collect donations for the impacted communities in Western NC. They didn't want any recognition for doing what they felt called to do, however we felt that this was too special not to share. A huge thank you to this amazing group who stepped up to help their neighbors, many miles away. The news that has continued to come out about the impacts of #HurricaneHelene has been devastating. However, we want to take a moment to shine a light on just how amazing our communities have been in their response. Below is just a small snippet of the ways our employees, vendors, subcontractors, family members, neighbors, and sister companies such as APAC-Mississippi/Tennessee, Harrison Construction, Barriere, Thompson Arthur, and Preferred Materials have shown up to help our families. We are so thankful for our communities during this time!

Following the impact of #HurricaneHelene there have been requests from our neighbors of how to help. Below is a list of urgently needed items to help support Coastal Georgia and Western North Carolina as they begin to recover from the storm.
