We were thrilled to host a great group of engineering freshman!
Our CEE department hosted over 150 freshman students during the ENGR10 Exploring Majors Event! Students engaged with our faculty while discovering how civil engineering contributes to designing better structures and fostering a safer, more sustainable environment. We thank Prof. Andrew Loken from the Midwest Roadside Safety Facility (MwRSF) and Prof. Kaycie Lane from the Environmental Engineering Lab for leading these CEE events at the City and Scot campus, including planning hands-on activities and interactive talks for our University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering students. ENGR10 is a first-year Freshman Engineer Seminar class led by our CEE faculty Prof. Tareq Daher, PhD. It aims to provide an overview of the engineering field and major-specific information. Information will be provided to help with transitional needs to UNL and the College of Engineering, involvement opportunities, learning about engineering, and interactive learning to increase non-technical complete engineer competencies.
