The Resilience Think and Do Tank program aims at making quality data and analysis for decision-making available. Millennium Water Alliance (MWA) is well pleased and highly honored to make a debut at the Korea International Water Week #KIWW2024 happening in Daegu, Republic of Korea as from the 13th to 16th of November 2024. The event themed ‘Building Smart Water Future by Sharing Experience and Technology’ is hosting discourses informed around navigating the future of water. Quite interesting is the presentation of a paper that Millennium Water Alliance (MWA) and EED Advisory collaboratively drafted for UNESCO and the International Centre for Water Security and Sustainable Development (i-WSSM). The paper titled “Fostering Resilience in Arid Areas: A multi-stakeholder engagement for improved access to water” looks at how Kenya RAPID improved water access in Kenya through broad collaboration with various stakeholders and the PIFA approach. This paper will be published in the fifth edition of the Global Water Security Issue (GSWI) set to be released in December 2024. ❓What are standard indicators? Standard indicators are measures that USAID and the U.S. Department of State use worldwide to collect performance data that can be aggregated globally, enabling USAID to consistently collect and report comparable data from multiple operating units. By utilizing standard indicator results for water and sanitation across the U.S. government, we can better justify  funding requests, identify operational challenges, assess progress, and support external reporting.
