A career is a living novel consisting of written chapters that capture the past, a current chapter being written, and future chapters with endless possibilities.
Each chapter is meaningful because it's enabled by the preceding one and makes the next one possible.
And each chapter eventually comes to a close so the next one can be written.
Today, I'd like to share with you that my 5th chapter, The Entrepreneur, one that spanned 9 years, is coming to a close.
I genuinely can't convey how magical and fulfilling yet trying and exhausting Chapter 5 was. It was easily the hardest thing I've ever done in my life with the support of the most incredible work family I could've hoped for: from idea to prototype to investment to team to product to clients to growth to acquisition to integration to thriving without needing me.
It's been a 9-year journey in pursuit of achieving a title I refer to as "grandpa". My team knows exactly what I mean by that as we've talked about it for years: I've wanted to get to the point where I could be the cheerleader, the candy-bringer, the empathetic shoulder, the advisor, and the proud "grandpa" who is gratified seeing his family grow and flourish leaving daily affairs to the parents and elder siblings.
I'm proud to say that day has come. I handpicked Mike years ago, well before the acquisition, to be our President and to take overall leadership of the company with the support of the one-and-only Drue overseeing product & engineering. They have the support of an amazing group of leaders who are tenured, most from well before the acquisition. I trust this leadership team to continue our culture, cadence, and traditions.
So, nothing will change for the team, for our clients, for our partners, or for our industry friends…and AtlasRTX will continue to thrive even more within the NICE ecosystem.
I'll continue to be grandpa to AtlasRTX but I will also begin outlining the next chapter, The Mentor, focused on Mindshare Ventures, and helping entrepreneurs and leadership teams succeed in business and in life. A teacher at heart, I've always wanted to dedicate a chapter to being a "professor in industry" and this next chapter will be focused on that: helping others succeed.
I'm not going anywhere…I'm just evolving and I'm very excited about what this next chapter will bring in terms of growth, impact, and, if I'm lucky, a legacy in the form of successful people, teams, and organizations I've had the privilege of helping.
I'm so very grateful for the love, grace, guidance, patience, understanding, and overall support I continue to receive from my home family, my work family, my friends, and my AtlasRTX community. Thank you for being part of building such a unique environment that is home to some of the most wonderful and wicked smart people in tech.
