🎄 And Their Stockings Were Hung… With Love and Care ❤️ This holiday season, the MiraVista team has once again come together to spread joy, warmth, and hope to the young people in our care. Our bright-red-gnome stockings, lovingly prepared by our incredible staff, are now ready to bring smiles on Christmas morning. Each one is more than just a gift, it’s a symbol of care, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves a moment of joy during the holidays. Each stocking includes lots of goodies, including a pair of cozy and comfy socks. The message attached to each pair reads: "As you put on these cozy socks, remember each small step forward counts. We believe in your strength and resilience as you step into the New Year. May it be filled with comfort and warmth." Thank you to our amazing staff for creating these moments of joy and hope. Your care reminds us all of the power of kindness. #miravistacares #stepsofhope

The Power of Art and Conversation in Recovery This holiday season, our Mira and Bright (oh-so-bright!) clinicians guided participants in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) through a creative and meaningful artistic activity. Beyond the fun of creating, these opportunities open the door to important conversations about sustaining sobriety during the season—a time that can be both joyful and challenging for those in recovery. Art offers incredible benefits for individuals on their recovery journey. It provides a healthy way to process emotions, reduces stress, and fosters self-expression in ways that words often cannot. Engaging in creative projects can help participants build confidence, strengthen their sense of purpose, and connect with others who share their experiences. MiraVista’s IOP is a structured treatment program (Monday-Friday) that allows individuals to focus on their recovery while maintaining their daily commitments. Participants attend therapy sessions during the day to address substance use and in a supportive, group-based setting. Free Transportation removes a barrier to care. The program emphasizes building resilience, developing coping strategies, and fostering a strong support network for long-term success. Interested in learning more? MiraVista’s IOP is here to provide compassionate care for those seeking recovery. For details, please call Kim Lee at 413-264-3042 or visit us online at www.miravistabhc.care. Together, let’s help every individual create a new canvas—one filled with hope, strength, and sobriety. #worksofheart #artinrecovery #anewcanvas

On Friday, our Mira and Bright team truly made the season sparkle! From deliciously festive cookies that brought everyone together, to a surprise visit from a certain green holiday guest whose heart grew three sizes, it was a day filled with joy and connection. But what really made this day magical? Our incredible staff! Rocking their creative and colorful ugly sweaters, they turned "ugly" into something absolutely beautiful. Their energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to making MiraVista a warm, welcoming, and joyful place for everyone are what make our team so special. Days like today remind us of the importance of coming together, spreading kindness, and finding beauty in every moment. To our amazing team: thank you for growing hearts, lifting spirits, and making MiraVista a place where the magic of care and community thrives. Here’s to a holiday season full of joy, togetherness, and a little Grinch-proof love in all we do! And a great thank you to our Hospital Administrator, Shelley for donning the green fur and adding even more color to all the festivities! #shesasweetonemrsgrinch #mirandbright

While the holiday season is often portrayed as a time of joy and togetherness, it can be particularly challenging for adolescents struggling with mental health issues. MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is addressing these challenges by offering direct access to compassionate inpatient psychiatric care, providing critical support to young people when they need it most. The disruptions brought by the holidays can amplify mental health struggles in adolescents. School, a place of stability and routine, often serves as a protective factor for teens. When school is not in session, adolescents lose access to that structure and support system, which can contribute to feelings of anxiety, isolation, and depression. “MiraVista Behavioral Health Center serves as a critical resource for parents, schools, and healthcare providers seeking immediate, effective care for adolescents experiencing a mental health crisis,” said MiraVista’s Associate Chief Nursing Officer, Evangeline Murray, MSN, RN, CNL. “By ensuring access to treatment during one of the most difficult times of the year, MiraVista is making a difference for young people and their families across the region. The holidays should not be a time when young people feel overlooked or alone. Mental health doesn’t take a holiday, and neither do we.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eekVNuqq Learn more here: 413 701 2600
