We had a wonderful time at the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner! Kara Corches, Missouri Chamber president & CEO, spent time with Joe Reardon, KC Chamber president & CEO, and Rep. Sherri Gallick. The event also included the announcement of the Kansas Citian of the Year – Peggy and Terry Dunn. Peggy is the former mayor of Leawood, Kansas, and Terry was the longtime president & CEO at JE Dunn Construction. Congrats!

Did you know Missouri currently has 22,353 active #moapprentices across 284 registered programs? We celebrated #NAW2024 by attending the Missouri Apprenticeship Summit in Jefferson City and the 25th Annual NAWDP Youth Symposium in Phoenix! It’s great to network with other workforce professionals and learn how we can expand our apprenticeship efforts.

We had another great meeting in St. Louis this week at Edward Jones! It was the perfect opportunity to discuss Missouri 2030 – our strategic plan to prepare the workforce, foster a competitive business climate and unite the business community.

We love meeting with our members – especially when the visit involves dogs! It was great to see our friends at Nestlé Purina North America in St. Louis and discuss our strategic plan for the state.
