Remembering an Extraordinary Life Rob Lepore lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on Saturday, December 21st. Rob was proud to be “One of the Founding Four” of MKN and was integral in building our water planning and modeling practice. He was also instrumental in training new staff and sharing his passion and excitement for modeling. His presence is missed but his memory remains a beautiful part of us. Rob was very proud of his three wonderful children (Kiera, Nick, and Juliana). He will be deeply missed by his family and those of us who worked with him. 🎉 Congratulations to MKN's Director of Strategic Initiatives, Becca Bugielski, PE, who was sworn in as American Public Works Association (APWA) Ventura County’s 2025 Chapter President at the Administrative Staff Appreciation and Holiday Luncheon! The event was even more memorable with National APWA President-Elect Vic Bianes, PE, and National Transportation Director Darren Schulz, PE, in attendance. We're proud to announce that MKN continues its strong APWA leadership presence with Adam Bugielski, PE, Operations Manager/Principal Engineer, continuing as Scholarship Chair and Sarah Mathews, PE, Senior Engineer II, stepping into the role of Chapter Treasurer. The celebration included an entertaining Public Works Price is Right game—a perfect finale to the year.
