The game of football has taught me all the trials and tribulations that life can throw. You're constantly taught at a young age to routinely invest in your body to extend your playing years further. However, many of us, especially in my early playing days, needed to be taught the value of financial literacy. When that first check hits your direct deposit as a professional athlete, your world seemingly changes overnight.
