It's #WorkforceWednesday! Did you know that the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics doesn't include clinical research as an occupation category? Occupation categories and codes are important to increase understanding and perhaps growth of the clinical research field through increased visiblity and data collection. ACRP - Association of Clinical Research Professionals is advocating for the addition of clinical research as its own occupation code for the following reasons: 1. Clinical research brings us new medicines and medical devices 2. Clinical researchers are distinct from other healthcare workers 3. The clinical research occupation has changed significantly—and continues to transform 4. Clinical research is an essential occupation that is currently in crisis 5. Many organizations and initiatives are dedicated to the field of clinical research Learn more and join the call from ACRP: https://lnkd.in/gibPAvJi #clinicalresearch #oncology #healthcare #nursing #clinicalresearchcoordinator #clinicalresearchassistant #data #career #labor #workforce #laborstatistics #cancerresearch #research #clinicaltrials
