The Ministry of Health, through the Division of Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) with CoG convened a two-day consultative meeting with County Reproductive and Child Health Coordinators from all 47 counties. The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss urgent actions required to accelerate the elimination of maternal and perinatal mortality rates, as well as to reduce morbidity among women and children. In addition, stakeholders are planning to hold an advocacy forum titled *Every Woman, Every Newborn, Everywhere* (EWENE), a global initiative aimed at reducing preventable maternal and perinatal deaths. This initiative seeks to address the critical need for improved healthcare access and outcomes for women and children worldwide. Ongoing initiatives that are contributing to these efforts include M-Mama, E-Motive, PROMPTS , POCUS, EWENE, and HSC. A formal launch of these initiatives is scheduled for early next year. The meeting was led by Dr. Edward Serem, the Head of RMNCAH, who emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to bring about sustainable improvements in maternal and child health across the country. #ewene #Tujulishane
