A workspace that inspires, invites, and elevates the everyday. The Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) in Ottawa, ON, has been reimagined with a fresh approach to workplace design. By blending residential, hospitality, and corporate design elements, this project transforms the office into a true destination—where functionality meets the comfort and experience of its users. Our flooring played a key role in creating this harmonious environment. The Hot & Heavy Bolder and Secoya LVT collections bring bold, contemporary visuals of polished concrete and richly grained hardwood, while multiple styles from our Lichen Community carpet tile collection add texture inspired by natural ground elements. Together, these collections coordinate effortlessly, with their shared neutral tones and striking patterns complementing the open-concept layout. The result? A cohesive, balanced design that grounds the space and enhances its inviting atmosphere. // BIOPHILIC DESIGN AT VERBUND AG // In their recently finished space planning and interior design project for the new VERBUND AG office in Vienna, INNOCAD architecture and 13&9 Design combined their knowledge of biophilic design for office spaces, which has been continuously developed over recent years through a transdisciplinary collaboration with scientists and experts. A variety of biophilic interventions, such as natural materials with different textures and color gradients, as well as the choice of lighting, enhance the natural ambiance and positively impact the well-being of employees. We would like to thank our manufacturing partner, Mohawk Group, for providing Relaxing Floors, BuzziSpace for their BuzziBalance and their suspended acoustic element BuzziPleat. Beyond that, we want to thank XTEC GmbH for the "Spine," a custom-made, multifunctional grid-furniture that serves as a room filter along the access zone and allows for various general uses.
