We're a community of moms and dads who are uniting for clean air and our kids’ health.

About us

Led by co-founder and senior director Dominique Browning, Moms Clean Air Force is a national movement of more than 1,000,000 moms — and dads too! — who are protecting our children’s right to clean air — just as our parents fought for us, forty years ago, when the Clean Air Act was first passed. Harnessing the strength of mother love, we encourage people to TAKE ACTION against polluters for the health of all children and future generations.

Updates

  • At Moms we are keeping a close eye on new trends in clean energy and ways to improve our planet's #climate chances. That's why we are alarmed by #AdvancedRecycling, a method of supposed recycling that some folks are claiming to be good for the environment. It's not. It's just burning #plastics. Watch our video and read our fact sheets so you can be informed when you see this coming to your town, and it may already be there. • This fall, Arizona Moms Hazel Chandler and Ylenia Aguilar partnered with A—B's Payback campaign to share opportunities to fight climate change and how families benefit from federal climate investments like the Inflation Reduction Act. We are so proud to share that the campaign won an Anthem Award! Congratulations to everyone involved!

  • Tune in to Instagram Dec. 6 at noon MT to watch Moms Clean Air Force Colorado Organizer Shaina Oliver interview KeAndre David, a college student and advocate for environmental justice. KeAndre will share his story as a student concerned about air pollution, climate change, and the disproportionate impacts on Indigenous communities. • At Moms Clean Air Force, we know how to make meaningful climate action happen. We have faced setbacks in the past, and we are ready to fight again… and we have the tools to do it. But it takes the generous support to put our plans into motion.  Please donate today to provide our team of moms with the resources they need to continue advocating for climate action for all our children across the country. When you give today, your gift will be matched by a generous friend of Moms $2 for every $1—meaning your gift will have triple the impact. This opportunity ends at midnight tonight. • This week, Moms had the privilege of hand-delivering to EPA Administrator Michael Regan our book, "Justice in Every Breath," which is a collection of hundreds of testimonies from Moms all over the country that resulted in cleaner air for children. Moms founder Dominique Browning thanked Administrator Regan and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for all they have accomplished in the last four years, and a few of our Kids Clean Air Force members read their testimonies featured in the book. We can't thank you enough, Administrator Regan, for your steadfast dedication to our mission here at Moms Clean Air Force. Photos courtesy of EPA.

Here's a list of seven nature- and climate-positive U.S. state ballot measures that were passed in yesterday's federal election: California: $10 billion climate bond that funds climate resilience, protecting clean drinking water and preventing catastrophic wildfires. Washington: An effort to roll back the state's Climate Commitment Act was defeated. This legislation provides millions for conservation, climate and wildfire funding, including funding for Tribal nations and at-risk communities was defeated. Minnesota: Renewal of the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund for another 25 years. The fund will provide $2 billion ($80 million per year from state lottery proceeds) to protect water, land and wildlife across the state. Colorado: Remove the cap for water funding from an existing tax on sports gaming revenue, which will generate an additional $2 to $5 million. Louisiana: Directing federal revenues received by the state from energy production (such as wind, solar, tidal, wave and other alternative or renewable energy sources) to the Coastal Protection and Restoration Fund. Maine: A $30 million bond that will fund a four-year grant program aimed at enhancing and expanding the state’s trail networks. Rhode Island: A $53 million environmental bond that will fund a variety of programs, including open space and parks, coastal resilience, forest management and restoration, farmland protection, brownfield reclamation and upgrading a port facility to support offshore wind development.
