About us

The Chamber is a fully-integrated economic development organization, dedicated to both job creation and job preservation. As a member-based business organization, we work to grow markets for our members. Our work is focused in the following areas: •Recruitment and expansion of existing businesses. •Development and nurturing of entrepreneurial and minority businesses. •Tourism and convention development. •Military and federal affairs. We also champion a broad array of community development issues as they relate to our mission, including governmental affairs, education, diversity and leadership development. We have been the driving force for building successful businesses and a vibrant economy since 1873. Governed by a volunteer board of directors and operated by a professional staff, the Chamber works to ensure that businesses have what they need to flourish. The Chamber is the voice of business in governmental affairs, both locally and on a national level, providing products and services to member businesses that help them grow and prosper. Through consistent communication with members, and a volunteer climate that encourages involvement and service, the Chamber develops and implements programs that are relevant to the needs of member businesses.

  • Last week, we celebrated our 152nd Annual Meeting—a time to reflect on the milestones we’ve achieved together in 2024 and the bright future ahead. Following the annual meeting, we took a heartfelt pause for our Holiday Luncheon on Wednesday, coming together as a Chamber family to celebrate the season and a year filled with hard work, collaboration, and success. It was also a bittersweet moment as we honored two extraordinary team members: Paul Redhead, retiring after an incredible 26 years of service, and Brenda King, whose 15 years of dedication have left a lasting impact on our Chamber and community. Paul and Brenda, your passion, commitment, and leadership have touched countless lives. We are forever grateful for all you’ve done and wish you the absolute best in this new chapter. As we close out this year, our hearts are full of gratitude for our members, partners, and community. We wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
