We're beginning to see Apple's #5G modem efforts start from the low end and ramp up in case of any issues. That said, Apple won't have its first 'parity' modem until 2027, which will only catch up with what Qualcomm released last year, so they are still four years behind. Qualcomm is already in its second or third generation of deploying AI in 5G modems.

I wanted to cap my Amazon Web Services (AWS) week with a final piece that I published on Forbes this morning. My personal favorite announcement of re: Invent is the new transformation capabilities in Q Developer. Chapter 1 (of 4) in my career was in systems integration and consulting. The big takeaway was MIGRATIONS ARE HARD, and maybe I should consider Chapter 2. Anything that can alleviate the pain of migrations and upgrades will make enterprises more secure and efficient and give them more time and money to innovate. https://lnkd.in/eFXj2KwG This solid use case shows the enterprise potential of agentic apps and GenAI. I am also grateful to so many members of the AWS team the past 6 months who have been keeping me in the loop on this effort. They did a great job. I had the opportunity to attend AT&T's Analyst & Investor Day in Dallas earlier this week. The company's continued significant fiber investment serves as the bedrock for it to provide converged network services that include highly performant broadband and mobility at scale. In the process, it is bridging the digital divide and providing digital literacy through its network of connected learning centers. It's a model for others to follow that have the capital and operational resources to marshal. One statistic stood out for me during Jenifer Robertson's presentation. Converged services are lifting the operator's lifetime subscriber value by 15%. That flies in the face of convention that subscribers bundle services for purely a discount. That positions AT&T to offer additional adjacent solutions that have great potential in lifting ARPU over time. $T
The disruptor is AT&T.
