CEO & Chief Analyst Patrick Moorhead shares his thoughts on Apple's Q4 earnings on CNBC Overtime💡
Apple reported first quarter results which showed a miss on iPhone revenue and an 11 percent drop in China sales. "What encourages me when you look at the outperformace is the strong services," said Tom Forte, CFA from Maxim Group LLC, "and I do think that there is a way for the stock to continue to work on the strength of services despite not seeing a supercycle as it pertains to AI and iPhones." "What I'm looking to though is the future in China I think it gets more difficult, not easier for them" said Patrick Moorhead from Moor Insights & Strategy, "because all of the Chinese manufacturers are going to amp up their AI capabilities and Apple hasn't even shown up there in China and not even a lot in the rest of the world."

And for Google it's a mixed quarter. There was a slight miss on revenue, a slight beat/meet on EPS, and Google Cloud below expectations. YouTube, Search, and Other all beat. Down 6% AH. We'll have to wait for the call to see what happened. Can't get enough GPUs? Big deal fall through? Something else? Azure was below expectations so a trend? Google Cloud is one of their big diversification plays, hence the abrupt selling. $75B in 2025 Capex.
