Happy Independence Day from Morae Classical Schools! We express our deepest gratitude to our forefathers who bravely put their names on a single piece of paper, risking their lives for our freedom. We thank the soldiers who have defended that piece of paper with their lives and all those who continue to believe in the words: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed." Thank you, Lord, for all those past and present who have fought for this great country. May we all celebrate and honor them today.

A private classical Christian school dedicated to serving military kids across multiple states.
About us
Morae Classical Schools (MCS) mission statement is, “to provide a classical education opportunity for military kids and to partner with parents to infuse character, virtues, and values into their children to produce patriotic citizens.” MCS schools are hybrid (virtual and in-person) microschools consisting of grades 5-12. Classes are limited to 15 students, and schools are limited to 240 students total. The design is to go smaller, not bigger. The intent is to become more intimate, more focused, more intentional, and more deliberate. MCS is moving away from government-run, becoming transparent, and partnering with parents in the formation of their children.

There is a solution to this sad state of affairs. How about we get students focused on learning a knowledge rich curriculum by reading and discussing wonderful, engaging books and by learning mathematics, science, history, civics, language, art, and music. This stark excerpt says it all. “Critical thinking, metacognition, grit and positive mindset, and “21st century skills” are in—competence in mathematics, not so much. It seems to have escaped us that students cannot think critically about nothing in particular; mastery of content is a prerequisite. The turn away from academics is rocket-propelled by a genuine problem. American teenagers stare at social media on a screen almost nine hours every day, with one result being surging loneliness and depression. “ It’s time to get back to basics. Our children deserve it!
