Motiv recently visited with Eastman’s management, research, marketing, and technical teams at their corporate headquarters and flagship manufacturing plant in Kingsport, Tennessee. Our team’s goal was to gain a deeper understanding of the science behind Eastman Tritan™ Renew and its capabilities for innovative new products. Tritan™ Renew is Eastman's sustainable high-performance copolyester material. It is made possible by their revolutionary molecular recycling technology that transforms single-use plastic waste into durable materials. Tritan is a BPA-free plastic renowned for its exceptional clarity, durability, and resistance to chemicals and extreme temperatures. As the product design firm behind nutribullet | magic bullet's latest award-winning products, which incorporate a variety of Eastman’s Tritan™ Renew plastics, Motiv was thrilled to meet the team behind these amazing materials. We look forward to collaborating on future projects. Paul Metaxatos and Jim Shepard from Motiv, along with San Sutanto, Dirk DiSantis, Michael Coggins, Anne Morris, Wenlai Feng, Jeffrey Skelton, Alex Goodman, and Taylor Doolittle from Eastman, met for the discussion. During their meeting, we explored how a shared vision for innovation and sustainability could provide even greater value to consumer product goods. As we continue working together to push the boundaries of product design and material innovation, we are excited about what the future holds!

In the fast-paced world of social media, one trend catching fire is chaos packaging—an eye-popping style that’s all about bold, over-the-top packaging design choices. This approach is helping small businesses stand out in a crowded market. It offers a memorable out-of-box experience when customers receive or open their packages, building brand loyalty along the way. As consumers look for excitement and authenticity, chaos packaging offers a unique way to make an impact. While it’s unconventional, it’s a great reminder that creative risk-taking can be a valuable asset in today’s competitive landscape. We are pleased to once again partner with Innovative Pathways and host the Swampscott High School students at our studio. Innovative Pathways is a series of courses focusing on engineering, technology, manufacturing, and design. The courses introduce students to various tools, materials, and processes used in these fields. Students apply the design process to projects involving power tools, material fabrication, 3D design, and project management. This program enhances career readiness by providing practical training and internship opportunities. We extend our gratitude to Brennan Natoli and Kerry Jannergren for organizing this remarkable event.
