This indicates the website is using proper security to help prevent your payment information from being stolen. ☃️ Too-good-to-be-true deals—There are definitely great deals to be found, but if you find them on websites that you haven’t heard of before and they are offering prices way below everywhere else, that’s a red flag. 🎁 Fake package tracking updates—These typically come as text messages or emails claiming to be from the postal service or a package carrier saying your package is delayed or can’t be delivered. They’ll offer a link to click to remedy the error. Avoid clicking these links as they are likely fraudulent. 🌟 Stay safe while shopping this holiday season! The Somali Community Self-Management Agency in Salt Lake City is a comprehensive support organization dedicated to helping African refugees, especially those from Somalia and Sudan, integrate into local communities and achieve self-sufficiency. Abdirizak shared that many Somali refugees arrive in Utah with nothing, escaping the horrors of civil war and violence. They often come with debt and, once employed, send much of their earnings back home to support their families. Osman Mohamed, who manages the Dahabshiil Aid Agency in the same building, emphasized the importance of the Somali Center. "It feels like home for them here. They talk with people they know in the refugee community, stay connected to their homeland, and discuss the challenges they encounter in America.
