The connection between mental health and student success is undeniable—yet many schools still struggle to provide the support students need. - 90% of educators recognize that mental health impacts learning - Over 60% say their MTSS programs lack proper alignment - Fewer than 40% feel they have the necessary resources Derived from a recent survey conducted by Move This World and Presence, the data reveals a critical gap between what educators believe is best for academic outcomes and the reality of what is happening in our schools today. This webinar will dive into detail on the biggest MTSS challenges that schools face in addressing mental and behavioral wellness, and provide an actionable path forward. Join us to learn: - What the data says about the state of mental health programming in districts today - How having a full continuum of care for all staff, students and families can help prevent crises - Practical steps to improve student outcomes through preventative mental health programming - How IDEA Public Schools implemented a preventative mental health program at their charter district

My New Year Resolution is simple: It’s to move the needle even more for student mental health and wellness. And I’m motivated, as always, by our partner schools and districts. If you need inspiration for the coming year, I invite you to watch this on-demand webinar that Move This World hosted with Presence. Here’s one quote (of many!) that I walked away inspired by that I’m using as motivation in the New Year: “I know this is challenging. We need to recognize we’re not alone. Moving forward gives us a common ground for us to support each other, and to support these kids.” - Dr. Gina Moody, Director of Student Services & Whole Child Support, Christina School District. Cheers to supporting each other through the challenges in 2025.

“This year is the most active for gunfire on school grounds since 2013, when Everytown for Gun Safety started tracking data.” - Axios Yesterday’s headlines, once again, told a story of a school that transformed in minutes from a place of safety and learning, to a place of grief and trauma. Our students deserve better, our educators deserve better, our families and communities deserve better. We mourn for the lives lost, and we will continue to fight to make our schools safer places where the focus can be on learning, engaging, and growing. Schools should be havens where every child feels seen, heard, and understood, where they know they belong. As a country, we must do better.

A comprehensive approach to mental health—one that considers the needs of students, educators, and families—can drive impactful change in school communities. Dr. GINA MOODY of Christina School District, Bonnie Contreras of Presence, and Kendall Sweeney, LMSW of Move This World got together for what turned out to be one of the best webinars we’ve hosted. And now you can watch it. Check it out to hear: - how alignment of resources supports proactive mental health - how implementation can be simplified, and - how schools can provide a coordinated continuum of care across all support levels. So proud of the work Move This World and Presence are doing together. https://lnkd.in/e5UydrQQ #education #mentalhealth #educationleadership
