This #ThrowbackThursday, we're reminiscing about a student-led project at the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center. 💭✨ Over the summer, students from various trades combined their talents to build a garden for culinary arts students. 🪴 After pouring cement, building raised garden beds, and welding fencing and garden decor, the garden turned out beautifully. 🦋 Culinary arts students then used the fresh herbs and veggies to cook up delicious dishes for others to enjoy. 🥗🥘 The project helped students learn about the importance of healthy eating and caring for the environment, as well as how to be independent and financially responsible. 💰🌍 · · #mtcchangeslives #communitygarden #handbuilt #handsonlearning #JobCorps #Reno #Nevada #CareersBeginHere #WorkingTogether #Homegrown #FreshProduce National Job Corps Association (NJCA) Job Corps
