⚙ Some of our members and partners had the chance to engage with more than 100 students at Hubbard Middle School's manufacturing career fair. The 7th and 8th graders showed off their skills by building towers, learned about coding, robotics and drones with the Youngstown RC Club (👋🏿Devyn Bellamy), as well as tested their knowledge about the manufacturing industry. Members ELLWOOD, Novelis and Starr Manufacturing, Inc. provided hands-on activities and talked about various careers available at their companies. AllStaff Careers also provided insight on how it helps people find jobs and manufacturing companies to build a workforce. 👏 What a successful, exciting event. We look forward to next year. ⚛️ An excellent showing for the Kids Career Fair on Saturday - hosted by Mahoning County Career & Technical Center and Valley STEM Academy and City Machine Technologies. Students and their families had the chance to explore career opportunities available in the area. ⚙️ Manufacturing...beyond the classroom. ⚙️ A group of East Liverpool High School students toured the Marsh Bellofram plant on Wednesday as part of MVMC's pilot initiative MFG Ready. This program is aimed at preparing high school students for careers in manufacturing. ☑ They saw firsthand what happens in production, shipping and other departments. They also sat down with CEO Joe Colletti, who stressed that the industry is advanced, challenging and offers REAL opportunities for today's young people. ☑ As part of MFG Ready, the students can now choose to kickstart their careers ahead of graduation through an internship at the plant this summer.
