  • General Motors' Crystal Windham on using MycoWorks Fine Mycelium™ materials: “What's awesome about my background in interiors is that I know the possibilities are there. We’re creative problem solvers. And [Cadillac SOLLEI] was a huge victory for the team to see the possibilities … When we look at our scale at General Motors, that’s a huge opportunity to make an impact.” A great interview with Crystal Windham, Executive Director of Global Industrial Design at General Motors, who speaks about integrating MycoWorks’ Fine Mycelium materials at GM, and the cost benefits of customized mycelium growth and early partnership with material suppliers. “Leather is a beautiful traditional material and should not be imitated. Our product is not a substitute for leather, but a new natural solution available to brands. Just as ostrich and crocodile do not replace bovine leather, we do not propose Reishi™ as an imitation of another material, but as a new class of natural, premium material.” Read the full interview in international leather magazine LaConceria https://lnkd.in/gvJu6mHK ** Meet us at Lineapelle Milan, Feb 25-27, to learn how you can offer your clients the future of sustainable materials, Reishi™, vetted by top brands including Hèrmes, Ligne Roset and General Motors.
