We’re proud to share that MyHealthTeam’s research was featured at last week’s AGA Crohn’s & Colitis Congress and was met with an incredible response. Our study sheds light on the often-unseen burdens of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD): — 78% of ulcerative colitis and 77% of Crohn’s disease patients report disruptions in their social life. — More than 60% say IBD interferes with personal relationships. — Over half face significant challenges in work or education. The challenges of living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis (forms of inflammatory bowel disease or IBD) extend far beyond the physical symptoms: - 70% of UC and 60% of CD patients say embarrassment is a constant struggle. - 59% of UC and 65% of CD patients report disruptions in education and work. 270 members of #MyCrohnsAndColitisTeam participated in a survey by MyHealthTeam to capture their experiences with this condition.
