Congratulations to The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), winner of the 2024 Innovative Achievement in Auxiliary Services Award for their outstanding FLIPS program! Managed by Auxiliary Services, RISD FLIPS is a creative sustainability initiative that collects gently used items during student move-out and redistributes them through on-campus programs, donations, or an annual yard sale. This program not only benefits local nonprofits like elementary schools, animal shelters, and arts organizations but also directly supports students by contributing all yard sale proceeds to the Staff Council Student Award. These funds help seniors purchase materials for their final year projects. Join Andy Lachman, Ph.D., CASP and Scott Seagren on December 10 for a dynamic roundtable discussion to explore innovative strategies for auxiliary finance and budgeting.
