As we close out Black History Month, we want to take a moment to celebrate the visionaries who laid the foundation for the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE). Founded in 1968 by a group of Black healthcare leaders, NAHSE was born out of a commitment to advancing health equity, increasing diversity in healthcare leadership, and ensuring Black professionals had opportunities to thrive in an industry that often overlooked their talent. Their legacy lives on in the countless leaders, innovators, and changemakers who continue to break barriers and drive meaningful progress in healthcare. Their work reminds us that representation matters, access matters, and equitable healthcare is not just a goal—it’s a necessity. To all past and present members of NAHSE, thank you for your dedication to this mission.
