📣 Announcing an exciting opportunity for energy sector leaders!  Join us for the Grid Resilience Metrics, Resilience Valuation and Regulatory Mechanisms Cohort Workshop, taking place in Detroit, MI from July 31 to August 1, 2024. We invite members of NARUC, NASEO - National Association of State Energy Officials, NASUCA and other state government agencies involved in energy and emergency management related activities to collaborate on critical discussions shaping the future of grid resilience. Hosted as part of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)’s "Energy Security and Grid Resilience Cohorts" series, supported by the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER) and DOE Grid Deployment Office in partnership with NASEO and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, this workshop focuses on resilience metrics, valuation methodologies and regulatory mechanisms crucial to enhancing grid resilience nationwide. Participants will engage in structured dialogues with industry experts, gaining insights into ongoing cohort activities and contributing to the development of frameworks that inform regulatory decision-making. Under the USAID and NARUC Advancing Women Leaders in Energy initiative, NARUC is providing the second iteration of a leadership development training for mid-career women to raise awareness of the importance of gender equity in the energy sector and build a comprehensive skill set that will strengthen their ability to advocate for their career advancement. This training will focus on improving women’s ability to become decision-makers in the energy sector and gain access to leadership, which supports the U.S.-Europe Energy Bridge goal of strengthening energy security through broadening perspectives, increasing creativity and innovation, and empowering women as agents of change.  #energyregulation #genderequality #careerdevelopment #leadership
