Satellites that swarm together stay together 💗🛰️ Our collection of Starling satellites, currently in low Earth orbit, are learning how to autonomously operate and communicate as a team. Since launching in 2023, the #CubeSats have flown, communicated, and shared information with limited involvement from ground teams. Learn more: go.nasa.gov/4aX7r4c

Malcolm O’Malley’s curiosity and desire to better understand the immune system led him to an internship with our Space Biosciences Research Branch in the summer of 2024. His work helped identify possible causes of inflammation seen in the heart, brain, and blood, as well as changes in the bones, metabolism, and immune system, and how isolation, radiation, and lack of gravity may affect the human body. Learn how his internship project is contributing to safely sending humans on long-duration missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond: https://lnkd.in/gZuSF_vb
