🎥 Behind the Scenes at NASM HQ! 🎬 At NASM, we’re not just creating videos—we’re building connections through education and exercise. As Cynthia Flores, NASM Creative Director, puts it: “What I love most about filming content is the magic of building something from scratch with our amazing team. We bring in our certified trainers and coaches—many stepping in front of the camera for the first time—and watching them share their purpose, passion, and expertise is incredible.” Each content shoot at our Gilbert, AZ headquarters is an opportunity to showcase the talent and dedication of our NASM-certified professionals. Wendy Batts, NASM Master Instructor, shares: “Being part of this process is incredibly rewarding. I get to observe, connect with, and coach these trainers—offering guidance on form, making small refinements, and ensuring they leave with valuable takeaways. At NASM, our goal is always to support and elevate our fitness family, and I’m grateful to be a part of that mission.” Stay tuned for more exclusive behind-the-scenes moments as we continue to create, educate, and elevate! #NASM #BehindTheScenes #FitnessEducation #NASMCommunity

Zeynep is now an NASM International Certified Personal Trainer, and we are so excited about it! 🎉 Your dedication to movement science and passion for helping others train smarter is truly inspiring. And a special shoutout to Halim Öz and Dr. Türker Bıyıklı at Athletic House Academy in Turkey for their support along the way! Check out her Q&A with NASM: > NASM: If you could train with any fitness expert or athlete, past or present, who would it be and why? >> Zeynep: "Dr. Vladimir Janda—his contributions to modern exercise science, especially in movement disorders and muscle imbalances, are foundational to the corrective exercise strategies we use today. Working with him would have been an incredible experience." > NASM: What’s your go-to workout when you’re short on time but want to feel accomplished? >> Zeynep: "Circuit training! It’s one of the most effective methods when time is limited, targeting both the cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems through stabilization, strength, and power exercises." > NASM: If you could only focus on one muscle group for the rest of the year, which would it be and why? >> Zeynep: "The core—because it plays a crucial role in spinal stability, posture, and movement efficiency. Weak core muscles can lead to inefficiencies and injuries, so plank variations, anti-rotation movements, and functional core exercises are always a priority in training." > NASM: What’s a fitness goal you’ve achieved that you’re most proud of? >> Zeynep: "Helping athletes move better and train smarter! One of my proudest achievements was supporting a soccer player who struggled with recurring hamstring injuries. Through corrective exercises like glute activation, eccentric hamstring work, and mobility drills, we helped prevent reinjury and improve performance." > NASM: If you could only do one type of exercise for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? >> Zeynep: "Turkish Get-up and Deadlift! The Turkish Get-up improves mobility, stability, core strength, balance, and coordination, while the deadlift strengthens the posterior chain and core—both essential for everyday movement." Drop a comment below to congratulate Zeynep and welcome her to the NASM community!
