#LincolnUniversity thought because they cleared THEMSELVES of any wrongdoing of alleged #workplaceabuse that the case of #DrAntoinetteBonnieCandiaBailey was closed. It’s now wide open. Join End Workplace Abuse on #NewYearsDay for our #VirtualRally and hear from Bonnie’s husband and best friend for the first time since her death. We join them in their fight for accountability! WE NEED A LAW! We stand with them to push for states across the U.S. to pass the Workplace Psychological Safety Act that protects employees from #workplacebullying and provides for INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATIONS. WE NEED A LAW! Register below using the QR Code for what will be a groundbreaking rally seven days before the nationwide protest on the anniversary of her death. I’m humbled that my company Clover Lane Media, LLC and the YouTube Show #MySilenceIsNotForSale is one of the sponsors of the rally that will honor Bonnie and her family, educate people about this systemic problem of workplace bullying, and share how you can get involved to pass this law in your state. #WeAreBonniesVoice #JusticeForBonnie We won’t let them or anyone sweep the #truth under the rug. #OurSilenceIsNotForSale

ANY Black man or woman considering voting for Donald Trump should listen to ALL of this. This is the results of a Biden-Harris Dept. of Justice civil rights division investigation into the Lexington, Miss. police department. There have been more than 12 such investigations by the Biden-Harris DOJ. How many under Trump-Pence? ONE. Trump's attorney generals Jeff Sessions and Bill Barr said such investigations "hurt police morale." Here is what the Biden-Harris DOJ discovered: these racist cops unlawfully unlawfully Arrests, jails and detains people who cannot pay fines or fees, without assessing their ability to pay; Uses excessive force; Conducts stops, searches and arrests without probable cause, including jailing people on illegal “investigative holds” and arresting people solely because they owe outstanding fines; Imposes money bail without justification or assessment of ability to pay; Jails people without prompt access to court; Violates the rights of people engaged in free speech and expression, including by retaliating against people who criticize the police; Discriminates against Black people; and Operates under an unconstitutional conflict of interest because LPD’s funding depends on the money it raises through its enforcement. The ONLY way we hold cops accountable is ELECT HARRIS-WALZ. This will NEVER happen under Trump-Vance. They will let the cops run amok and BLACK PEOPLE will suffer at the hands of abusive cops. THIS is why we elected Biden-Harris. Let's keep it up with Harriz-Walz.

Banned Books Week 2024 is here. Another reminder that people are banning books about racism rather than working to eradicate racism. Eight of my books have been banned or challenged in the U.S. 📚 How to Be an Antiracist (banned) 📚 Stamped from the Beginning (banned) 📚 Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You with Jason Reynolds (banned) 📚 How to Be a (Young) Antiracist with Nic Stone (challenged) 📚 Stamped for Kids with Sonja Cherry-Paul and Jason Reynolds (banned) 📚 Antiracist Baby (banned) 📚 Magnolia Flower (challenged) 📚 Goodnight Racism (challenged) Witnessing my books being banned and challenged and misrepresented; facing constant attempts to sully my reputation; being made into a bogeyman to drum up racist rage and jealousy and resentment—I know this is part of the job, if I’m exposing racism effectively. But it makes my work as a scholar and writer harder. This doesn’t get me down, however. I do hard for a living. This gets me up into gratitude. The harder my job has become, the more grateful I’ve become for those of you who keep reading and sharing and teaching my banned books––and all banned books. ✊🏿🙏🏾

Greetings and welcome to Diversity Central: The Podcast Where Being Woke Thrives! I'm Dr. William White, your host. The nation just wrapped up a heated presidential debate, and it was disheartening to see divisive racial tropes dominate. In times like these, it's crucial for Americans to unite under our democratic values. Throughout history, race has often divided us, from slavery to civil rights struggles. Now is the time to act. Your country needs you to act. Your children and grandchildren need you to act. Join me on the latest episode of Diversity Central, where we discuss Confronting Racism in a Polarized Society. • LinkedIn Post: The Importance of Voting in the Upcoming Election 🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️ As the presidential tickets are now established, it's crucial to recognize that this next election is about saving democracy as we know it. No joke! The stakes have never been higher, and the potential impacts on our way of life are profound. Here are 12 critical issues from the "2025 publication" produced by the Heritage Foundation, that could negatively affect our society if we don't act now: I. Women's Right to Choose: Ongoing attacks on reproductive rights threaten to roll back decades of progress, restricting women's autonomy over their own bodies. II. DEI Attacks: Efforts to dismantle Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives undermine the fight for equality and justice in workplaces, government and educational institutions. III. Voting Rights: New laws are making it harder for racial minorities and other marginalized groups to vote, jeopardizing the democratic process. IV. Environmental Protections: Rollbacks on environmental regulations threaten the health of our planet and future generations. V. Healthcare Access: Potential cuts to healthcare programs could leave millions without necessary medical coverage. VI. Education Funding: Reductions in funding for public schools, higher education and the elimination of the Department of Education, could cripple the education of our entire nation. VII. LGBTQ+ Rights: There are ongoing efforts to undermine protections for LGBTQ+ individuals, affecting their rights and safety, including . VIII. Economic Inequality: Policies favoring the wealthy over the working class could exacerbate economic disparities. IX. Gun Control: Lack of sensible gun control measures continues to pose a threat to public safety. X. Immigration Policies: Restrictive immigration policies could harm families and reduce the cultural richness that immigrants bring to our nation. XI. Rise of Autocracy: There is a growing threat of our democratic institutions being eroded, leading us towards autocracy. XII. Separation of Church and State: Attempts to declare the United States a Christian nation undermine the principle of separation of church and state, threatening religious freedom for all. Diversity is present in everything we do in every society. Our diversity is what makes America unique and powerful, and we must protect it. Call to Action: I urge all Americans to exercise their right to vote in this critical election. Your vote is your voice, and it matters more than ever. Sherrell Dorsey Sherrell Dorsey is an Influencer

Award-winning journalist, author, and startup ecosystem builder passionate about climate tech and the future of work | Host of TED Tech | Advisor | Investor | Lover of dessert

My grandfather, Jerry Dorsey III, took his last breath last week. For those who have followed my journey or read my book (Upper Hand: The Future of Work for the Rest of Us), you know how special and influential my grandfather was to my life and my introduction to tech. He left the Jim Crow South at the age of 13, migrating from Birmingham, Alabama, to Detroit, Michigan. He served in Korea at the tender age of 18 and found a spot at the Detroit Electronics and Television Trade School in his 20s. Boeing called his certification program looking for workers in the 1950s when folks of color were finally able to land more than just janitorial or secretarial work at corporate companies. He went from serving as an aircraft technician in the heart of Seattle at the time to finally retiring as a cameraman at King5 television. He let me ask him a ton of questions, helped me build anything I needed for school, and bought me and my cousin our first computers. My grandfather held no major titles or gave speeches. He went to work to leave his family a legacy and taught us to be lifelong learners and doers. Even at the age of 91, as his mind traveled through space and time, he was still a fighter and a learner, keeping his gadgets close by. He'll always be my hero. I'm so very grateful he allowed me to spend the last few years of his life documenting and telling his story. Record the stories of your elders so that they can continue to live on. Rest well, grandpa. Special thanks to Bryan Tucker who helped me produce this trailer for my short doc, Upper Hand available to watch on KweliTV.
