The FFA Creed has shaped Eric Sawatzke’s journey in profound ways, from his early FFA days to a meaningful career in agriculture. A Minnesota state officer, he explored opportunities across agriculture and ultimately found his calling in teaching. After meeting his future wife Erica, a fellow agriculture enthusiast, the two joined forces at her family’s multigenerational farm, Oakdale Farms, where they faced challenges that only strengthened their commitment to the land. Today, Oakdale Farms proudly raises grain and turkeys and embodies the very spirit of resilience and dedication celebrated in the FFA Creed. Meet Lindsay, Eric, and Kailey Lipka, whose SAE showcases teamwork and creativity through their school garden project. Together, they cultivate a variety of crops to create delicious dishes like salsa. Inspired by their Food Science class and guided by their teacher, they planned their garden and organized a crop schedule. Despite challenges—like working in the rain—they stayed committed, knowing their efforts would pay off.
