A large part of NRRA's mission is education and advocacy for risk retention groups (RRGs) and risk purchasing groups (RPGs), protecting the preemption provisions of the Federal Liability Risk Retention Act (LRRA). Check out a summary of some of the advocacy related work NRRA has done on behalf of all risk retention groups and risk purchasing groups in 2024 and some new related resources we have planned for 2025. https://lnkd.in/eAkzQJBT #CaptiveInsurance #RiskRetentionGroup #RiskPurchasingGroup

Join us in congratulating 2024 Karen Cutts visionary award winner, Derick White! This award honors Derick’s thirty-five-plus years of service in the captive industry as CPA, auditor, regulator, Deputy Commissioner and Director of Captives, and more. Derick established Vermont's captive examination and application process, reviewing hundreds of captive applications and advocating for RRG-friendly regulatory standards. Since transitioning to the private sector, Derick has managed Eastern U.S. operations for a captive management company, served on numerous industry boards, and remains active as a board member for three risk retention groups. Please join us in honoring Derick’s accomplishments in the comments below! #NRRA2024

One of our favorite aspects of the NRRA National Conference is hosting college students through our Collegiate Research Insurance Shadow Program (CRISP). This year, we are pleased to welcome Veronica Zieba, Grace Cittadino, Madison Johnson, Marek Pedziwater, Carly Pye, and Adam Stiner from the Katie School of Insurance and Risk Management at Illinois State University to attend conference sessions, network with speakers and attendees, and explore the risk retention industry. #NRRA2024
