Smoldering intensity ... Beckett thought of this caption to go with this picture he took with his orthotist, Kristian. We love it! Fun facts about Beckett: 1. He was diagnosed with scoliosis at a well-check, which led in the early detection of Chiari. After his Chiari surgery he and his family came to us for a custom Rigo Cheneau brace. 2. Beckett has a great attitude towards bracing. He says [to others who need a brace], "Use it as an advantage -- it is not that hard." 3. Beckett is 10 years old, and this is his second brace (he's here for a brace check today). He names his braces to keep it fun. The first was named Fred the Brace, and this one is named Ace the Brace. 4. Scoliosis has not slowed him down, he continues to do all the things he loves: cycling, tennis, and playing outside. 5. He is doing an excellent job wearing his brace, as you can tell from the iButton chart he is holding - almost 21 hours per day. Great job, Beckett! #scoliosis #scoliosisbrace #rigocheneaubrace #scoliosisawareness

Dedicated to non-operative scoliosis treatment with custom Rigo Cheneau TLSO braces, EOS imaging, and Schroth PT.
About us
Our team at the National Scoliosis Center takes a holistic approach to treating scoliosis and other spinal disorders—providing custom braces (TLSOs), low-dose EOS X-ray imaging, and collaboration with area Schroth physical therapists (specialized physical therapy for scoliosis patients) and caring for each patient's overall well-being. Everyone that works in our office has somehow been touched by scoliosis either directly or personally and we understand the challenges that go along with it. Our mission is to provide the best non-operative, evidence-based care to patients diagnosed with scoliosis by helping them progress to maturity without needing surgery. We collaborate with each patient's physician (primarily pediatricians and/or orthopedists) and their family in developing and implementing a complete treatment plan. When working with physicians, we try and accommodate same-day-appointments where possible—meaning, we try and see patients immediately following an orthopedic check-in so that adjustments, and or new custom braces can be created promptly, efficiently and, most importantly, effectively. At the National Scoliosis Center, we pride our work on evidence-based medicine, innovation and our constant involvement in continued education, global research societies and clinical research. We are actively involved in in the Scoliosis Research Society, Society for Scoliosis and Orthopeadic and Rehabilitation Treatment (SOSORT) and the National Scoliosis Foundation. Luke Stikeleather, Certified Orthotist is the founder of NSC and has spent decades working with scoliosis patients. He introduced the Rigo Cheneau style of bracing to North America. Patients come from all over the world to receive scoliosis care and treatment from Luke. We have offices in Fairax, Virginia, Baltimore, MD and Houston, TX.

✨ A Hands-On Approach at our Houston Center! Sophia, one of our patients, joined Hope Amador—Director and primary Certified Orthotist at NSC Houston—in the lab to take part in creating her very own brace. At National Scoliosis Center, we encourage patients to be part of the process, helping them feel empowered and connected to their scoliosis care journey. Seeing Sophia’s enthusiasm and involvement is a reminder of the strength and resilience of our patients! 💚 #Scoliosis #EmpoweredPatients #Houston #ScoliosisJourney #BraceMaking #rigocheneaubrace

🎉 Meet Luke. He grew an incredible 7 inches throughout his bracing (starting at age 12 and now at 15) while staying committed to wearing his brace. Thanks to his hard work and dedication, Luke's 25-degree curve has decreased to 10 degrees—wow! 🌟 Now, he only needs to wear his brace at night. Way to go, Luke! 👏 When Luke found out he had scoliosis, he said, "I'm not getting surgery! Nope, no, no thank you!" And he was right! #ScoliosisStrong #BraceSuccess #ScoliosisJourney #NationalScoliosisCenter
