Smoldering intensity ... Beckett thought of this caption to go with this picture he took with his orthotist, Kristian. We love it! Fun facts about Beckett: 1. He was diagnosed with scoliosis at a well-check, which led in the early detection of Chiari. After his Chiari surgery he and his family came to us for a custom Rigo Cheneau brace. 2. Beckett has a great attitude towards bracing. He says [to others who need a brace], "Use it as an advantage -- it is not that hard." 3. Beckett is 10 years old, and this is his second brace (he's here for a brace check today). He names his braces to keep it fun. The first was named Fred the Brace, and this one is named Ace the Brace. 4. Scoliosis has not slowed him down, he continues to do all the things he loves: cycling, tennis, and playing outside. 5. He is doing an excellent job wearing his brace, as you can tell from the iButton chart he is holding - almost 21 hours per day. 🎉 Meet Luke. He grew an incredible 7 inches throughout his bracing (starting at age 12 and now at 15) while staying committed to wearing his brace. Thanks to his hard work and dedication, Luke's 25-degree curve has decreased to 10 degrees—wow! 🌟 Now, he only needs to wear his brace at night. Way to go, Luke! 👏 When Luke found out he had scoliosis, he said, "I'm not getting surgery! Nope, no, no thank you!"
