As we close Children's Grief Awareness Month and the #FliptheScript campaign, we want to emphasize the importance of support for youth who are grieving. Earlier this year, the NACG asked teens to share the words and phrases that hurt—and what would be more helpful. Their message was clear: they don’t need sympathy or unsolicited advice. What they need are meaningful actions and compassionate understanding. Share with us below which one of these actions resonated the most with you. ⬇️ As we close this month, let’s remember that the best way to support young people who are grieving is to simply ask them what they need, and when in doubt, just listen. We thank you for joining us in this important work and encourage you to continue to advocate for children and teens who are grieving. 💙 #ChildrensGriefAwareness #FlipTheScript #CGAM2024 #childrengrieve

🔵 Flip the Script for Children's Grief Awareness Month 🔵 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗳 Join us in "Flipping the Script" this Children's Grief Awareness Month by acknowledging the individuality of each young person who is grieving.🌟 Embrace Individual Needs: • Understand that each young person who is grieving has a unique relationship with the person who died. • Avoid one-size-fits-all responses and offer support that aligns with their specific context, relationship, and personality. Meaningful support begins with recognizing each young person's uniqueness and listening to their cues about how they would like to be supported. #ChildrensGriefAwareness #FlipTheScript #CGAM2024 #childrengrieve
