PRESS RELEASE 📢 BT4Europe Welcomes European Commission's Proposal on Digital Declarations for Posted Workers 🚀 BT4Europe, the European Network of Business Travel Associations, supports the European Commission’s initiative to introduce a digital declaration system for posted workers as a step toward simplifying cross-border business travel. However, there’s more to be done! 🌍✈️ We call for: ✅ Mandatory exemptions for short-term business trips to reduce unnecessary red tape. ✅ Uniform digitization across Member States for a truly harmonized system. ✅ Concrete reductions in bureaucracy to achieve the EU’s 25% administrative burden reduction target. 🌍 BT4Europe Eager to Partner with Commissioner-Designate Apostolos Tzitzikostas on Europe’s Sustainable Transport & Tourism Journey!🚆   Following his recent hearing at the European Parliament, Apostolos Tzitzikostas outlined a compelling vision for a resilient, sustainable Europe. His strong commitment to the Green Deal and decarbonizing transport—goals that align with our mission—underscores the vital roles of transport, tourism, and business travel in advancing Europe’s economic vitality and competitiveness. With a portfolio uniquely spanning both transport and tourism, he is well-positioned to drive an integrated, sustainable future for Europe.   Patrick W. Diemer, Chair of BT4Europe, said, “If confirmed by Parliament later this month, we are ready to work with Tzitzikostas on his ambitious five-year roadmap to strengthen, digitalize, and decarbonize these sectors. Kim Jong-un has ordered 8 artillery brigades near the border with South Korea to be put on full alert and ready for combat. This directive comes amidst escalating tensions with South Korea and allegations of South Korean drone flights over the North Korean capital city. Earlier this week North Korea's Kim said any attempt by the South to encroach on its sovereignty would bring forth a nuclear response. Earlier, Seoul had warned any use of nuclear weapons would be "the end of the North Korean regime."
