At NBME, we are dedicated to advancing the assessment of health care professionals to achieve optimal care for all. While centered on assessment of physicians, this mission encompasses the spectrum of health professionals along the continuum of education, training and practice and includes research in evaluation as well as development of assessment tools. Through the creation of comprehensive assessment and learning tools for health professionals, we hope to contribute to a highly effective, diverse and compassionate health care workforce.     In 2024, NBME, along with the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), co-sponsored the second Equity in Measurement and Assessment Conference (EMAC).     We're still accepting applications for the 2025 NBME Summer Assessment Science and Psychometrics Internship Program! Work alongside fellow #graduate students and gain hands-on experience during this eight-week program, which pairs aspiring leaders in assessment with seasoned NBME mentors to collaborate on a #research project. Full-time interns can earn a stipend of up to $12,600 and are eligible to receive up to $1,000 to support their attendance at a conference. 📅 Applications are due January 31, 2025!     In 2022, NBME launched a Creative Community focused on enhancing the assessment of clinical reasoning using school-based Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs). Dr. Lipnevich is a professor of educational psychology at Queens College and the Graduate Center of City University of New York. She is providing NBME with her expertise and executing #research to help inform and define our methodology around formative #assessment and feedback. She is also helping to build more standardized guidelines and frameworks to guide development of new assessment types.
