⛵️ Sailing Toward Success: Dutch Innovation in LA! 🌊 💬 We had the great pleasure of meeting Dorien Hoekstra de Vries from the Koninklijk Nederlands Watersportverbond here in Los Angeles! Not only is she a passionate advocate for water sports, but she’s also an Olympic legend 🥉—winning a bronze medal for windsurfing in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics 🌬️🏄♀️ ⛵️ Now, as Team Manager for the Dutch Olympic sailing team, Dorien is all about teamplay and staying on top of the game 💪 She’s fostering a thriving sports community, building on the Dutch sailing team’s incredible success at last year’s Paris Olympics 🏅 🇳🇱 The Netherlands is a world leader in sailing. Marit Bouwmeester OLY (ILCA6) and the duo Annette Duetz / Odile van Aanholt (49er FX) became Olympic champions in 2024 🥇, while Luuc van opzeeland (iQfoil) and Annelous Lammerts (Formula Kite) secured bronze medals 🥉 🌍 This spirit of innovation also extends into sustainability. As we look ahead to the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games in Long Beach, the synergy between Dutch expertise in water innovation and initiatives like ocean cleanup 🌊♻️ is more crucial than ever. With LA’s expanding water sector, we see exciting opportunities to merge Dutch innovations in water management, sustainability, and sports to tackle global challenges together 🌱 🚀 At NBSO Los Angeles, we’re ready to ride this wave and love connecting with leaders like Dorien as we look forward to seeing TeamNL in action again at the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games! 🌊💪
