Donating online couldn't be any easier but do your research first! Supporting the causes we care about has become so easy to do online but that convenience often comes with risk. Unfortunately, scammers exploit our generosity, especially during times of crisis, by creating fake charities to steal your money. Here’s how to donate safely: 💻Research the Charity: Before donating, thoroughly research the organization. Check reputable charity evaluators like Charity Navigator or GuideStar to see their ratings and financial transparency. 😉Beware of Emotional Appeals: Be wary of appeals that use high-pressure tactics, emotional manipulation, or promises of immediate results. 📱Verify Contact Information: Legitimate charities will have easily accessible contact information on their website. Look for a physical address, phone number, and email address. 💸Donate Directly: Whenever possible, donate directly to the charity’s official website. Avoid clicking on links in emails or text messages. 💳Use Secure Payment Methods: Use credit cards versus debit cards for online donations, as they offer better fraud protection. We encourage you to support legitimate charities making a real difference as long as you stay safe online. Cybersecurity focuses heavily on the digital assets, but don't forget about the human side and personal care. Ever found yourself rubbing your eyes, squinting or feeling a headache coming on from staring at a digital screen for too long? It's important to take care of your eyes. Reduce screen strain and give your eyes a break! Tips to reduce eye strain: 👀Reduce your screen's brightness level - it doesn't need to be at full brightness to be seen. 👀Select a dark mode setting - black as the predominate background color is less stressful to your eyes. 👀Use zoom in features when you can - no need to squint to see fine print. 👀 Utilize blue light filters or glasses - they are designed to reduce the amount of blue light emitted from digital screens, which can potentially alleviate eye strain, discomfort, and disrupt sleep patterns. 👀Take an "eye break" - it's good to give your eyes a little rest about every 20 minutes. Just turn away from digital devices and focus on something else for a few minutes. Remember to prioritize eye health and take regular breaks to prevent eye strain and fatigue. #EyeHealth #ScreenStrain #DigitalWellness #BlueLightFilter #EyeCareTips #HealthyEyes #ReduceEyeStrain

Today, on World Day of Social Justice, let's talk about fairness, equality, and human rights in the digital age through Cybersecurity. Access to secure digital spaces isn’t just a tech issue—it’s a social justice issue. Cyber threats disproportionately affect vulnerable communities, from identity theft to online harassment, digital surveillance, and financial fraud. Without strong cybersecurity, marginalized voices are at greater risk of being silenced or exploited. 🔒 Cybersecurity = Digital Equality ✅ Protect personal data 🛡️ ✅ Fight misinformation 📢 ✅ Ensure access to safe digital spaces 🌐 Let's advocate for cybersecurity that protects everyone. Justice in the real world must extend to the digital world, too. Exploring the Power of AI and Job Task Analysis with the EARTh Center Office Hours Tuesday, February 25, 2025 1:00pm - 2:00pm Eastern Join ATE Central and the EARTh Center for an engaging ATE Office Hours session where we explore the transformative potential of AI in conducting Job Task Analysis (JTA). This live demonstration will showcase how AI tools streamline and enhance the JTA process, enabling educators and industry professionals to identify key job roles, skills, and competencies with greater efficiency and precision. In today's fast-paced world, companies are operating leaner than ever, making it increasingly difficult to secure industry professionals for multi-day DACUM/JTA sessions. By leveraging AI, we can address this challenge by gathering and analyzing data to build a strong framework, significantly reducing the time and commitment required from industry partners. This approach not only aligns curriculum with workforce needs but also ensures meaningful engagement with industry stakeholders while respecting their time constraints. Don't miss this opportunity to see AI in action and learn how it can help modernize and streamline your program's approach to JTA.
