🧑🏽💻 It's #DigitalCitizenshipWeek 🧑🏽💻 It's hard to believe that my journey from the music classroom to the world of EdTech started 10 years ago. It was a shift that has shaped my career and opened doors for my students. Digital citizenship is about more than just understanding technology—it’s about fostering critical thinking, empathy, and ethical decision-making in an increasingly connected and confusing world. In my fist year as a tech teacher, I was so grateful for free resources that organizations like Common Sense Media and Code.org provided. I relied heavily on this content as I was learning the ropes and what it meant to truly develop digital citizens. The students in this video are now in their 20's. 🤯 I know that engaging in these lessons and activities in middle school helped shape the digital citizens they have become.
