Supporting startups and local startup communities has been a passion of mine since 2010 and over the years I have met some great people and amazing founders at Catapult Chicago and as a board member at 1871. (Our first hire at Pillar Booth was actually Alana Prant who I met when she worked for Bucketfeet out of Catapult!) So now, I always get excited when I have the opportunity to support other startup communities with the work we do at Pillar. We recently partnered with The Nebraska Startup Academy - installing two booths to provide much needed private spaces for founders to grow their startups. It has been a pleasure working with Charlie Cuddy an Alyssa Cave - they are building an outstanding community in Nebraska...we are thrilled that Pillar could be a (small) part of it.

💥 New Curriculum: Pitch Deck Essentials: From Deck to Delivery 💥 When you’re pitching your product or business, you have only a brief window to capture attention—whether it’s potential investors, customers, or partners. A winning pitch deck does more than showcase your product—it tells a story that opens doors and secures opportunities. In this module, we dive into crafting a pitch deck that wows in delivery, complete with practical tips, templates, and demos from standout pitches. A few key highlights from this module: 📊 Presentation vs. Send-Along Decks: Master when to prioritize visuals over detailed text. 🕒 Get to the Point Quickly: Think movie trailer, not the entire film. Hook your audience and leave them wanting more. 🎥 Live Demos: Don’t just explain—show your product solving real-world problems. 👤 Customer Scenarios: Make it relatable by weaving stories of users and their challenges. 🖼️ One Message Per Slide: Keep your slides sharp, simple, and to the point. The secret? Refine, iterate, and practice until your story lands with clarity and impact. Link to our blog and signup for Nebraska Startup Academy in the comments 👇
