Part of the next Billion dollar opportunity in Construction Tech will need to have something for Spanish Speakers - 30% of the construction workforce is Hispanic, which is almost twice as much as in the whole labor force. This skews higher when you just look at the field teams. And that number is probably underrepresented. So that means a huge number of construction’s workforce has different needs. This is part of what you need to be familiar with when working in construction. Being able to account for these changes is important when you build for construction. There’s a whole company dedicated to providing Spanish to English translation for construction companies - Need2Say This is something that I’m thinking a lot about as I’m building a conversational AI. For any business, you need to be aware of your inputs. I want to account for text messages, emails, photos, videos, and Spanish speakers. All of these are present on a construction site, so why would I neglect a whole section of inputs? So with all these new technologies getting built, don’t forget about a whole section of people. —— P.S.
