Last night, history was made on Wall Street as young entrepreneurs from around the world gathered at the NYSE for NFTE's 2024 World Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge! 🏆 Congratulations to our winners, AlNayzak Organization students from Palestine, Issa Odeh and Antony Saleh! Their business idea, Water World—an affordable smart device for water monitoring and purification—earned them the top prize of $5,000 to fuel their entrepreneurial journey. Special recognition goes to our finalists: 🔶 Mediclic team from Palestine, AlNayzak Organization, Horizons Academy 🔶 OUTEX team from Ukraine, Ukrainian Future Each team was awarded $1,000 to advance their innovative business concepts! We're excited to announce that the Motorola Solutions Foundation has awarded NFTE a $60,000 grant to expand our STEM BizCamp program! Following a successful pilot, we're updating our curriculum and taking this innovative program nationwide. During this session with our educators, Chris shared highlights from his entrepreneurial journey, including invaluable tactics and lessons he learned through lean market research and the iterative design process. He also offered practical tips to help NFTE educators continue empowering their students to think and act like entrepreneurs. The 13th Annual NFTE Golf Classic, hosted by PEALA, brought together Los Angeles' business community at Angeles National Golf Club to support entrepreneurship education. Thanks to our 110+ golfers and 21 sponsors, we raised over $105,000 to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs! Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) is seeking professionals from around the globe to serve as virtual volunteer judges for the World Series of Innovation (WSI). As a volunteer judge, you will review 5–8 student submissions, evaluating their innovative ideas to address some of the world's biggest problems. Your expertise and feedback will be invaluable in inspiring and empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs. Scheduled for January 20 through January 26, 2025, this virtual, self-paced opportunity allows you to work at your convenience and submit your evaluations within the judging window. NFTE is proud to be part of EY Connect Day! 177 EY volunteers from around the world came together to coach 292 NFTE students. Together, they worked on the EY Responsible AI Challenge in NFTE’s World Series of Innovation (WSI), igniting the entrepreneurial mindset in young people as they came up with solutions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 16 — Peace Justice and Strong Institutions. The day featured many highlights, including a visit from Kenny Murdock, the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the St. Louis Mayor’s office, who presented a proclamation at the St. Louis event recognizing November 15th as Youth Entrepreneurship Day and honoring the work that NFTE and EY are doing to empower the next generation of diverse entrepreneurs.
