Civil engineering professor Antonio Nanni took his expertise overseas to the United Nations Climate Change Conference #COP29 in Azerbaijan this week. Representing the University of Miami and the American Concrete Institute, Nanni was a panelist at the GCCA – Global Cement and Concrete Association event, emphasizing the importance of decarbonization in the construction industry. His work highlights the critical role universities play in advancing knowledge and fostering sustainable practices. "Sustainability starts and ends with people and I sincerely hope that students at the U are part of this revolution," said Nanni.
