At Neurava, our mission aligns with the goals of these events - to improve the lives of those affected by epilepsy. Dan Moore, former CEO of Cyberonics and former Chairman of the Board at LivaNova, brings over 35 years of experience in medical devices, with a focus on epilepsy. Jed Kay, an Operating Partner at Elevate Ventures, adds deep experience in commercialization and reimbursement strategies. Leveraging his expertise in signal processing and machine learning, including his thesis work in low-power on-device deep learning for epilepsy patients and interpretable multimodal analysis, Trevor will play a key role in designing algorithms and developing digital biomarkers that will provide deeper insights into seizure and cardiorespiratory activity, to ultimately enhance patient outcomes. Today is SUDEP Action Day. Sudden unexpected death, or SUDEP, is a lesser known but terrible risk faced by all people living with epilepsy. This year’s theme is Our Risk, Our Rights. Those impacted by epilepsy have a right to be informed about the risks of SUDEP and ways to mitigate them. The Neurava team joins the epilepsy community around the world today to raise awareness about SUDEP.
