🐾 Join the Movement: Help Save Golden Retrievers for Just $5/Month! 🐾 Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue (NRGRR) is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and adopting golden retrievers in need. But with the rising cost of veterinary care, our ability to save these beloved dogs is at risk. We’re asking 500 golden-hearted supporters to donate just $5 a month to ensure we can continue our lifesaving work. Your small monthly gift will help cover the medical costs of the dogs who need us the most. 💛 Why It Matters: 🐾 Medical Care is Our Biggest Expense – 86% of our funds go directly to veterinary treatment. 🐾 Adoption Fees Aren’t Enough – They cover less than half of the cost to care for each dog. 🐾 More Goldens Need Help – Each year, more goldens come into our program with serious medical needs. We want to continue to help these dogs. Our dedicated volunteers give their time, homes, and hearts to these wonderful dogs—but love alone won’t cover their medical bills. 🚴♂️ Join Us for a Great Cause! 🚴♀️ We are excited to share that the 2nd Annual Gears for Goldens charity bike ride will be held on Saturday, September 28th, in Pittsboro, NC! Whether you’re an avid cyclist or just looking for a fun way to support a great cause, there are three fully supported routes to choose from: Full Metric (62.1 miles) Half Metric (38.2 miles) One-Third Metric (18.1 miles) Your registration fee benefits Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue and includes : • ONE FREE BEER - When checking in, each rider will receive a wristband. The wristband can be redeemed for one free beer at BMC Brewing, located at The Plant. • BREAKFAST - Bagels with cream cheese, donuts, fresh fruits, and juice. • Fully stocked rest areas on each route. • SAG support throughout the routes. • Bike mechanics to help with minor day-of-repairs and additional bike shop mechanics along the route.
