DISASTER RELIEF LOANS FOR NEVADA BUSINESSES The federal government is offering low-interest disaster loans to small businesses in Southern Nevada affected by drought over the last two months. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) said small businesses in Clark and Lincoln counties are eligible to apply, along with several nearby counties in Arizona, California and Utah. Officials say the loans are meant to help small nonfarm businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations. "These loans are the backbone that helps rural communities bounce back and thrive after a disaster strikes,"Francisco Sánchez Jr., associate administrator for the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience, said in a statement. Eligibility is based on the financial impact suffered from the drought. Loans can reach up to $2 million with interest rates of 4% for businesses and 3.25% for private nonprofits. NOTE: Loans cannot be issued until Congress appropriates funding for the Disaster Loan Program, the SBA said it will accept and process applications so they can receive funding once it's available. The Clock is ticking! Did you hire a firm or bad actor to file an erroneous Employee Retention Credit (ERC) for your business? The IRS is hosting an upcoming webinar about the IRS Voluntary Disclosure Program presented by Stacha M. Duffy, IRS Stakeholder Liaison. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has announced a limited time reopening of its Voluntary Disclosure Program (VDP). Aggressive marketing tactics lured unsuspecting businesses into claiming the complex credit and the IRS voluntary disclosure program provides a final window of opportunity for those misled businesses to adjust and avoid future compliance action by the IRS. In this webinar learn how the IRS voluntary pay back program is allowing businesses to retain 15% and avoid penalties. This program offers a valuable opportunity for businesses to correct inaccurate ERC claims and ensure compliance with tax regulations. The voluntary disclosure window closes November 22, 2024. If your business claimed the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) in error, now is the time to act! This program is only available through November 22. Take advantage of this chance to address any discrepancies and secure your business’s compliance before the deadline. There are two webinars taking place as noted below: November 7, 2024, 2pm-3pm REGISTER: https://lnkd.in/gfvkQcTi Thu, Nov 14, 2024, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM REGISTER: https://lnkd.in/g3xagYrY Disclaimer: Nevada Business Advisors does not provide tax or legal advice, always check with your tax or legal professional. From all of us at Nevada Business Advisors, Happy Nevada Day! Why today? Nevada Day is observed on the last Friday of October as it commemorates the state's October 31, 1864 admission to the Union. The first known observance of Nevada Day (originally known as Admission Day) was by the Pacific Coast Pioneer society during the 1870s. The Nevada Legislature established it as a state holiday in 1933. #nevadaday #silverstate #nevadabusinessadvisors #supportsmallbusiness

Nevada Business Advisors was proud to host our inaugural #BIZLINK event at #UNLV Black Fire in #LasVegas recently. The idea and purpose of #BIZLINK was to link capital and opportunities to businesses in southern Nevada. It was more than providing access to capital, it allowed businesses the opportunity to meet one-on-one with banks and lenders to discuss their business financing needs. Businesses listened to procurement opportunities, participated and supported the Pitch Competition and met resource agencies like #SCORE and the Department of Business and Industry. Nevada Business Advisors hosted #BIZLINK in partnership with the Western Regional Minority Supplier Development Council (WRMSDC), an affiliate of NMSDC and there are so many people and organizations to thank who made this possible. Thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters including Nevada Small Business Development Center, Aristocrat Gaming, Southwest Gas Corporation, Access Community Capital, America First Credit Union, Business Finance Corporation, Lexicon Bank, Nevada State Development Corporation, Lyndsey Davino, CBI, CEPA with First Choice Business Brokers, ManagedPAY, City of Las Vegas, Enterprise Bank & Trust, U.S. Bank, Brydan Solutions, Inc, Mothership Coffee Roasters, Design One Printing, Regaldos Catering and JD Photography. Through their sponsorships and support, this event was made possible at no cost to the attendees. Thank you to all who participated in our Opportunity Sharing including City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, Clark County, Harry Reid International Airport, Clark County School District and MGM Resorts International. BIZLINK will be back next year, stay tuned! #WRMSDC #smallbusinessnevada #supportlocalbusiness #womanowned #minorityowned #nevadabusinessadvisors

Formula 1 is around the corner and Nevada Business Advisors is thrilled to shout out a few of our clients, past and present, who were selected to be a part of the Formula 1 Business Directory for this year's race in #LasVegas. In partnership with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the business directory features vendors that were already selected by the Super Bowl Host Committee’s business connect program, which will be relied upon by race teams, partners and businesses for a variety of uses during grand prix weekend, Nov. 21-23. Congratulations to all the selected businesses but special shout out to: *Mothership Coffee Roasters *LIVE Electric *FNOM Worldwide *Design One Printing *Solid Promo Prints *Storyville RD What is one thing all of these businesses have in common? They are all certified businesses. Certification can provide access to opportunities, while it does not guarantee a contract or a purchase order, it provides the key to open the door to opportunities. The Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development was awarded $4.2 million from the U.S. Department of Treasury aimed at supporting rural, tribal, health care businesses as well as startups and advanced manufacturing. With the funding awarded, small businesses will be able to hire through the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) Investing in America Small Business Opportunity Program. The SSBCI is a $10 billion program to support small businesses and provide them with access to capital to invest in “job-creating opportunities.” The SBOP was created to connect small businesses in the private sector to technical assistance services. #stateofnevada #goed #supportlocalbusiness #nevadabusinessadvisors
