Last night at Sarracino Middle School’s Math and Science Night, we had the pleasure of introducing middle schoolers to New Mexico Tech’s Petroleum Engineering program! Through fun and engaging activities, students learned about fracking, oil production, and the exciting fact that New Mexico is the second-largest oil producer in the U.S. It was great to see their interest and curiosity in the oil and gas industry! #STEMEducation #PetroleumEngineering #OilAndGas #Fracking #NewMexicoTech #ScienceNight #FutureEngineers #MiddleSchoolSTEM #OilProduction #NMTech

We had a fantastic time reconnecting with our alumni at the SPE-ATCE conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was an honor to have Dr. Mahyar Amouzegar, the president of New Mexico Tech, and Dr. Anil Kumar, who led the Petroleum Engineering Department several decades ago, join us. Great memories and connections!

🌍 Strengthening Ties with Ghana 🌍 In July, New Mexico Tech faculty, including Dr. Hamid Rahnema, visited Ghana to expand opportunities for undergraduate students to study at Tech. The team visited KNUST, UENR, and UMaT, presenting at a KNUST conference and hosting sessions for students. This visit aims to increase undergraduate enrollment from Ghana, building on the strong ties we already have with graduate students and faculty. Dr. Rahnema also connected with talented students to bring the next generation of engineers to New Mexico Tech. #GlobalPartnerships #PetroleumEngineering #NewMexicoTech #Ghana #EngineeringExcellence #KNUST #UENR #UMaT
