Sharing this insightful article by our very own, founder and co-Executive Director Ain Bailey, published by Nonprofit Quarterly. The article explores the power of restorative frameworks to engage the well-being, visioning and resilience of BIPOC leaders and healers and features reflections from Villagers Kayla Tolentino and Teresa W Lau, DC. If you are looking to reimagine leadership grounded in intentional community care and restorative practices this article is for you. Ain also shares more about how the Village support leaders to nourish and sustain their own leadership and how philanthropy can join us. Our 2025 offerings for future Village leaders and healers are open until Oct. 30th. More information here: https://lnkd.in/e8gbzVqC.

How do you nourish and sustain your leadership? What practices support your connection to your personal and professional values and purpose? How do you vision from your own imagination and not from the oppressive visions of dominant society? New Seneca Village is pleased to announce that our 2025 restorative journey experience offerings are now open for leaders and healers who are advancing justice in the world. Our restorative journey experience is a roughly two month long collective practice centered around restoration, connection and visioning which begins with a three series Restorative Vision Circle series followed by a week-long, in-person nature based residency. This experience, including group and individual restorative practice sessions while at residency, is complimentary and grants are available to support Villagers ability to show up and be present. Please share with your communities! https://lnkd.in/e8gbzVqC

Folks often ask how New Seneca Village came to be and this is a bit of an answer. Mostly founder and co-ED, Ain Bailey, MPA, shares the practices that power her work in the world which seeks to hold containers for re-connecting leaders with their purpose, with nature and with their wise inner selves.
We're thrilled to share the latest installment of JEI Journeys, featuring JEI alum Ain Bailey, MPA and her work founding and designing New Seneca Village - a retreat space and social ecosystem providing justice-focused leaders and healers with access to time, space, and nature within an intentional community centered on restoration, connection, and visioning – in perpetuity. "New Seneca Village is an invitation to practice the future now." https://lnkd.in/g-DJ9Kg7

New Seneca Village believes that centering restoration, connection, and visioning are core elements to nourishing and sustaining leadership in both life and work. As we ease into the winter break, we invite you to take a pause (with tea?) and dig into our Year Two Update to learn more about our residency experience through the brilliant thoughts, reflections, and questions of our 2023 Villagers. We also share a bit about how our organization has evolved in our second year and what funders from across all funding areas should know about supporting the people who power our collective progress. Wishing you all an expansive and restorative winter season!
