Its always great to get our MCC students out to see the everyday operations of an optics company. Thank you to Sydor Optics for the great tour!
This week with the short week of classes our Monroe Community College #mccoptics students got a chance to get out and explore some of the Rochester Optics industry. On Monday the OPT235 Advanced Optical manufacturing and testing class toured Corning Incorporated Fairport facility. Learning about how the precision Optics industry is contributing to the semi- conductor market by providing precision Optics prisms and materials. Micro- Lithography and inspection all require extremely high quality Optics made by skilled technicians. On Tuesday the OPT213 Conventional Optical manufacturing class toured Sydor Optics, Inc. getting an opportunity to see an amazing class act company that has been in business here in Rochester for 60 years. precision flats and prisms and so much more.
